Baba Ram Dass published the pioneering spiritual classic bestseller “BE HERE NOW”forty years ago. In 2000 he wrote “STILL HERE”, after being, as he puts it, ”stroked by his guru” and semi-confined to a wheelchair. This year he has brought us his new message and wish through his just released “BE LOVE NOW”.
I visited RD for 8 days this month at his home on the healing island of Maui, and we had lots of laughs, taped Dharma Dialogues (what he calls “Altar-side Chats”), and shared delightful satsang (truth brotherhood) together, as well as a few divine moments of darshan. As we concluded our visit, I remembered that years ago we used to say, echoing our guru Maharaj-ji’s words,“Love everyone, serve everyone, and remember God…” Now our motto is, “Love everyone, serve everyone, and TRY TO REMEMBER WHY YOU CAME INTO THIS ROOM!”
