Six Steps to Freedom and Intentional Responsiveness
I have found that fear, anger and irritation are like an affliction, and a serious impediment to open communication and healthy relationships of all kinds. Discovering methods to deal with these challenging emotions is essential in leading a healthy well-balanced, harmonious life. It is important to realize that anger has its own function, intelligence and logic and so we should not entirely try to eradicate it. After much trial and error, I have come up with my own practice for regulating strong emotions and being patient and more authentically...

Lama Surya Das is joined by fellow Mindpod natives, Raghu Markus and Kelly Rego, for a lighthearted discussion about the growing relationship between Western culture and the higher powers that have influenced previous generations. Let peace begin with me.

What's The Secret?

Memory-making, I cherished and filed away an abundant array of happiness data as well as stories and teaching tales from the Great Path.
Spending time with this realized spirit allows me an opportunity to “see” and be more...

Uninhibited and inexhaustible, like the ocean’s waves, leave it as it is. There is no ‘self’ for your self-improvement project, but there is room for just being. Through practice we develop the skillful means necessary to both recognize and reside within the illusion, relative and ultimate truth being woven into each passing moment. Of course we can strive to make the world a better place, but we must also balance our ambition with the ease of understanding that we don’t always have to fix everything. Question and answer topics include releasing...

What we seek is right here; the problem is that we are usually elsewhere, distracted and dissociated, wandering mindlessly in the past or future. However, I can assure you that if you’re not here now you won’t be There then. This is karmic law, and the very essence of habit and conditioning.”
